Vale Sports Arena

The Vale Sports Arena was formed in September 2015 and soon developed into a popular events venue for a variety of popular events. It is widely regarded as one of the biggest event venues in Wales

The business is split into two exciting elements, sport leisure is covered by the Vale Sports Arena and music events by the VSA Warehouse which is part of the same umbrella and run by joint owners Peter Griffiths and Catherine Sharp.

The venue boasts 7 bars a unique indoor 3G football and rugby pitch a cafe and 7 offices

From boxing events, celebrity events to music events the venue caters for all.

World famous Icon Pele has done events at the venue as well as over 77 other celebrities such as Tyson Fury, Floyd Mayweather, Jamie Carragher, Gazza, Ricky Hatton and Hollywood actor Vinny Jones.

 

 

 

A family run business the venue has a full footprint of 33,00 sq ft and is one of the biggest event spaces in Wales. The venue is split into three areas for events and vary in feature & capacity. This ensures the venue can hold any event big or small.

The overall capacity for the venue is 2000
Located just outside Cardiff it is the perfect location for your event. it is 10 minutes from the city centre and has excellent transport links & has an onsite taxi rank and car park.

 

Events

Vale Sports Arena is the biggest events venue in the Vale of Glamorgan situated just 5 minutes from Cardiff city centre with excellent public transport links

The 2000 capacity arena has a full events licence until 3am and can host all styles and types of events such as boxing, music, celebrity evenings, and much more

The arena has a unique style which evokes a great atmosphere for all.

With 5 bars, a cafe food area security and much more we have the infrastructure to ensure your event will be successful and enjoyable

The arena prides itself on giving artists and promotors a great space for all events big or small.

Capacity 400 – 2000
This large space is perfect for all types of events with boxing celebrity evenings hugely popular.

The area includes two bars and has clear black walls and a warehouse steel ceiling.

Courtyard

Capacity 500
This clear space is perfect for summer parties and music events. It has one bar available and is a popular summer destination for that perfect summer party.

Small area

Capacity 100 to 1000
This intimate events space can be used for all types of events with dark walls and ceiling making it great for dressing for a themed event also includes two bars.

3g Pitch

The Vale Sports Arena boasts a top of the range indoor 3G football and rugby pitch.

The FIFA regulated surface is available for hire 7 days of the week.

Peter Griffiths

Peter enjoyed a successful and enjoyable playing career spending time at Chelsea FC as a youth player and periods at Manchester Utd FC Tranmere Rovers FC and Shrewsbury FC at junior level. He gained international honours for Wales representing his country at U15 U16 U17 U18 level and captained his country at U18 level. Peter won many caps and played in European qualifiers playing against countries such as Holland, Portugal, Bulgaria, England, Australia, Luxembourg, Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and many more.

He retired from the game at 26yrs old due to injury and to concentrate on a coaching career.

Peter who is a UEFA qualified coach and holder of the full English FA Youth Award, has coached and been part of the recruitment team at a host of top Premier League and Football League professional clubs academies . 

Peter has coaching experience coaching football in countries such as USA, Africa, England, Spain, Italy, Germany, Sierra Leone, Wales and Dubai.

Peter has also worked and learned from some of biggest european and world clubs in football  

After setting up the arena Peter has attracted some of the the biggest celebrity names to the arena and as well as huge Boxing Events.

Peter has a keen interest in travel and sport and is a devoted father.

Catherine Sharp

Born in Cardiff (South Wales) Catherine runs a successful chain of family run retail shops and bars with her father along the west coast of Wales. She has a keen business eye for property and development


A devoted mother to her two children Catherine is also involved in charity work across Wales always trying to give something back to local communities.

Catherine has many interests including travelling and music.

To get to the Vale Sports Arena State the bus times and train times are listed below.
We also have cycle provision with locks at the arena.

The arena also has a in house taxi service to ensure customers get home safely.
Please do not drink and drive.
